To describe and measure the flexibility of Jobshop manufacturing system,the key flexibilities of machine flexibility,operation flexibility and routing flexibility were analyzed based on the flexibility classification of manufacturing system,and the methods of description and measurement for these three key flexibilities were elaborated systematically.The impacts of three key flexibilities on scheduling were summarized,and the future research direction was discussed finally.
