The influence of the geometry size on the bandwidth of the dominant-mode in an asymmetric single ridged waveguide is analyzed with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Numerical results demonstrate that the bandwidth of the dominant-mode can be regulated by changing the geometry size of the waveguide. The wavenumbers of the symmetric single ridged waveguide are given to validate the theory, and to demonstrate the degree of its efficiency.
