基于《公共卫生概论》的预防医学专业英语全英文教学模式的设计与探索

公共卫生问题已成为世界性问题,国际交流与合作是预防和解决公共卫生问题的关键方式。因此,培养具有国际视野、熟练应用英语进行国际交流、解决公共卫生与预防医学实际问题能力的复合型人才是必由之路。专业英语是英语与专业知识之间的桥梁,全英文教学通过师生之间以英语进行的互动与交流,强调学生用英语获取专业知识的能力。本文从课程设计、课程实施、教学效果等各个环节分析我院基于《公共卫生概论》的专业英语全英文教学,总结所取得的成效,指出存在的问题,并提出相应的解决方案,为下一步更有效的开展专业英语全英文教学打下基础。

英文摘要:

Public health issue has become a global one, and international communication and collaboration will be the key to preventing and solving public health problems. Therefore, it is essential to produce interdisciplinary talents who possess global view, make international exchanges with English and solve problems in public health and preventive medicine. English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a bridge between general English and professional knowledge, and all-English teaching method provides students with an opportunity to communicate with teachers in English and acquire the ability to gain professional knowledge by English. From curriculum design, curriculum implementation and teaching results, we analyze our valuable experience and existing problems in ESP all-English teaching based on the course of Introduction to Public Health. Appropriate solutions are provided to lay foundation for further carrying out ESP all-English teaching more effectively.
