A hexpolyamide/seryl-histidine dipeptide coniugate DNA cleavage agent was synthesized and its structure was elucidated by NMR and ESI-MS/MS methods. Com- plete assignment of ^1 H and ^13C NMR chemical shifts of the compound was obtained using 2D NMR techniques, including 1^H-^1H COSY, HSQC and HMBC. The MS/MS fragmentation pathways of the polyamide/peptide conjugate are also discussed.
