The theory of price discrimination is the hot topic of modem industrial organization theory study. Through re- viewing relevant literature, this paper analyzes the effects of price discrimination on social warfare and industry profit, explores the motivation of price discrimination and its relationship with market entry, and investigates the strategy of paying customers to switch and the price difference in the multi-products, in the aim to provide theoretical basis for dealing with price discrimi- nation issues.
