This paper studies the traditional settlement transformation by using the dissipative structure theory proposed by the Belgian scientist Prigogine and expounds the feasibility of using the dissipative structure theory to carry on the traditional settlement transformation. This paper puts forward the specific methods of traditional settlement transformation based on dissipative structure theory, and selects the traditional settlement of Qingniwa Bridge in Dalian as the research subject, so as to provide the necessary theoretical support for the transformation of traditional settlements.
