在整合资源基础观和资源依赖理论的基础上,采用案例研究方法对美国生物技术企业的成长模式进行了深入分析。研究结果表明：（1）企业在长期成长过程中呈现出一种动态复合的成长模式,即在不同的成长阶段,企业不同程度地组合三种成长模式（内生成长、并购成长、网络化成长）,且这种组合是动态变化的;（2）样本企业都经历了种子期、开始期和成长期三个阶段;（3）内部资源基础和对外部资源的需求推动了企业对三种成长模式的组合。在不同成长阶段,企业需要对这三种成长模式进行必要的平衡,以获取长期成长的成功。本文提出了企业成长的动态复合成长模式,将内生成长、并购成长和网络化成长三种成长模式纳入同一研究框架,拓展了企业成长理论。

英文摘要：

Based on the integration of resource-based view and resource dependence theory, a case study method is employed to investigate the growth mode of American biotechnology firms tho-roughly. Results indicate that：①firms grow in a dynamic-and-complex mode, which means at dif-ferent stages the three growth modes （organic growth？ acquisitive growth and net-work based growth） combine in different ways, and this combination is dynamic;② sample firms have all gone through the seeding stage, the starting stage and the growing stage;③firms’internal re-source bases and external resource requirements promote the combination of the three growth modes, and to grow successfully firms need to balance the three growth modes during different growing stages. This paper puts forward the dynamic and complex mode of firm growth, which integrates the organic growth, acquisitive growth and network-based growth into one framework. The study extends firm growth theory.
