Different relationships among explorative and exploitative market learning,radical and incremental innovation,and efficient and effective firm performance are discussed.Empirical research based on 303 paired Chinese enterprises indicates that incremental innovation positively influences radical innovation,competitiveness strategy uniqueness positively moderates this relationship;explorative market learning affects radical innovation more strongly than exploitative market learning,but exploitative market learning affects incremental innovation more strongly than explorative market learning;the interaction between explorative and exploitative market learning positively influences radical and incremental innovation,but stronger for radical innovation;radical innovation influences efficient and effective firm performance more strongly than incremental innovation.
