市场容量是外商直接投资在选择区位时所考虑的一个重要因素。随着我国利用外资的进一步深化和深入，利用外资在地级市层面的竞争愈演愈烈，研究外商投资地级市的影响因素对于各个地级市根据自身条件有针对性地吸引和利用外资具有重要的现实意义。因此，本文基于2006年我国335个地级市的截面数据，运用OLS分析方法，实证研究了市场容量对外商直接投资的影响。结果表明：市场容量对外商直接投资具有显著影响，当地市场容量每增长1％，其吸引的外商直接投资增长0．46％。

英文摘要：

Market capacity is an important consideration for FDI in the choice of location. As China＇s utilization of FDI to further deepen and in-depth, the use of FDI in the prefecture-level cities increasing levels of competition, hence, Study on foreign investment in prefecture-level cities of the influencing factors for all prefecture-level cities targeted in accordance with its own conditions to attract and use FDI has an important realistic significance. Based on the Cross-section data of china 335 cities in 2006, this aritcle use OLS method to analysis the Market Capacity＇s influence on the Foreign Direct Investment. Result shows that the Market Capacity＇s has great influence on the FDI, as the Market Capacity increase 1 percent, the FDI increase O. 46 percent.
