Product which is the output of manufacturing and service which is the output of serving are different, so the innovation in manufacturing and serving are also different. The differences lie in innovation cartier, consumer experience, borderline between producers and consumers, technology innovation importance and dependence of R＆D. On the other way, manufacturing innovation and service innovation are interactive. Now, on the background of amalgamation of manufacturing and service, manufacturing innova- tion and service innovation appear some same characters, that is to say, the dominant role of technology are reducing, innovation cycle is shortening, non -R＆D activities are increasing, and patent system is exerting more important effects on innovation.
