In this article,the current status of ramie industry base was introduced： reduction of ramie planting area,decline in yield and quality of raw fiber,the low level of harvesting mechanization and the lack of processing base to utilize the resource advantage.The advantages and disadvantages of industry development were analyzed.The suggestions were put forward： its importance should be paid attention by the leaders at different levels to establish high standard＇s production base and build processing industrial cluster.
