An overview of some of the research published in China and other countries regarding the performance of lightweight aggregate concrete were present.The load transfer mechanism,thermal process performance and deformation behavior of lightweight aggregate concrete were described.And the problems of the lightweight aggregate concrete were analyzed,such as segregation,slump loss and shrinkage, and the relevant measures were taken in solving the above problems for the researching and application of this civil engineering material.
