The problems in the SHPB impact tests from four aspects as uneven stress, concrete specimen and bar wave impedance mis- match, not enough smoothness of the concrete specimen bottom surface, waveform dispersion effect were discussed.The LS-DYNA soft- ware in the application of SHPB simulation analysis was described in detail from four aspects, such as the selection of element selection, dynamic constitutive model, computational methods, and contact definition.The above introduce and analysis may be the references for the SHPB experiment study and numerical simulation of concrete.
