The conditional probabilities of QTL genotypes under flanking marker genotypes were needed in QTL mapping. This issue was reviewed in F2 and FW population respectively. And then a new eight-way cross design was proposed, and the two-locus probabilities transition matrix of this design and the method for multi-point joint inference of QTL genotype were educed.
