城镇密集区已成为区域社会经济发展的增长极,其空间结构对区域成长及社会经济整体协调与水平的提高具有重要影响。兰州-西宁城镇密集区是中东部通往西部及连接青藏高原的重要地区,又地处黄河上游生态环境敏感带。通过对研究区现状空间结构评价,发现区内空间结构呈严重的不均衡状态,空间差异大,制约着区域社会经济发展和生态环境保护。据此,依据主体功能区的指导思想,提出四点措施,＂因地制宜＂地对区域空间结构进行优化,缩小区域空间差距,促进区域全面、协调、可持续发展。

英文摘要：

City-town concentrated area have been the growth pole in development of regional economy and regional society.Its spatial structure profoundly impacts the regional growth and pushes the holistic development of society and economy.City-town concentrated area in Lanzhou-Xining connects the Middle-Eastern region and the Western region and the Qingzang Altiplano,Also this region locates at the upper reaches of the Yellow River which is an impressible environment.We studied the spatial structure of this region.It showed that high imbalance and the otherness of spatial structure in this region restricted the regional development in society and economy and the protection of environment.Consequently,under the idea of principal functional zones,we put forward four points to optimize regional spatial structure in terms of the principle of ＂adjust measures to local conditions＂,shorten the regional spatial distance,advance all-around,harmonious and continuable development of this region.
