A fractional order PIλcontroller in speed adjustment system of AC motor is proposed, and the design of fractional order PIλ controller is introduced. The fractional order differentiator/integrator is transformed from S to Z using Tustin generating function, and the fractional order calculus can be approximated by continued fraction expansion which implements the discretization of the fractional order PIλ controller. It shows that the fractional order PIλ eontroller has a better performance than the integer order PID controller.
