Modern methods of investigating cold syndrome were discussed in this article.Four methods,which were combination of subjective and objective methods,combination of macro-and micro methods,combination of Chinese traditional and western medicine methods,combination of humanities and science methods,were discussed to clarify how to study cold syndrome.To combine differential modern scientific methods with cold syndrome will be helpful to enhance the scientific and objectivity of differential treatment,and to promote the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
