Objective To study the relationship between the different gestational ages fetal (newborn children) physical growth and development with mother childbearing age. Methods The cluster sampling 8141 cases about the physical growth and development of newborn child was surveyed in Shenzhen city in 2005 - 2006. Results Accompanying the mother childbearing age increasing the mean of fetus (newborn child ) in weight, height, sitting height, head circumference, chest circumference presents regularly increments phenomenon. The mother childbearing age in 23 or younger, the five development mean of newborn child were lower comparing with the mother childbearing age in 24 or above. In 24 - 33 childbearing ages, the mean of newborn growth were increased followed the mother age, the growth mean steady at a high level. That was the best childbearing age. After 34 ages the five growth mean began to decline or volatility. That was instability. In 18 -20 years old, 21 -23 years old, 24 -29 years old, 30 -34 years old and 35 - 44 years old age grouping, the mean of newborn child growth and development were increased regularity. Significant difference compared between the groups, ehi-square test, P 〈 0. 005 ( all group ) with statistical significance. Conclusion The mother childbearing age in 24 - 33 are the best childbearing age, the five growth mean of newborn steady at a higher level. The mother childbearing ages are important influence factor directed about the different gestational age fetus (newborn children ) intrauterine physical growth and development.
