In modern times, the concept of democracy was introduced to china under the background of domestic trouble and foreign invasion, and at that time China＇s politics was determined by the elite＇s different understanding of the concept of democracy and democratic practice. This paper focuses on the spread of democracy concept in the Chinese, sorts out the evolution from democratic to people＇s democracy and the influence of different concepts of democracy to Chinese politics. Based on the analysis, this paper draws specific conclusions in order to provide beneficial enlightenment for the construction of democratic politics in contemporary China.
