After the occupation of Dalian,Japan,in order to further consolidate its colonial rule and plunder the resources in China,immediately set up Dalian Customs.Till the Japanese surrender,Dalian customs had lasted for 38 years.Dalian customs was special tools for Japanese economic aggression in China and all its institutional policy depended on the Japanese aggression in the Northeast and even in China.An in-depth study on the history of the Dalian customs during the Japanese colonial rule,in particular,its characteristics and impact,has great significance today for us to recognize the history and modern customs administration and port economic development.
