Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） is an important neurodegenerative disease. The complication of underlying pathological mechanisms restricts the study on animal models. Animal models play an important role in the study on AD. This paper reviews frequently used animal models and evaluate the advantages and shortcomings to provide some considerations for selecting a mouse model of AD.
