A hydrogen-bonded two dimensional(2D) supramolecular coordination complex [Ni(mal)(tpm)(H2O)]·2H2O was synthesized by using mixed ligands,which was characterized by X-ray crystal diffraction,elemental analysis,IR and UV spectrum,where mal = malonic acid,and tpm = tris(pyrazolyl)methane.The complex crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pca21,with unit cell parameters: a = 1.5421(3) nm,b = 0.90629(19) nm,c=1.2822(3) nm,α=90°,β=90°,γ=90°,V=1.7920(7) nm3,Z=4.The central nickle(II) ion is six-coordinate and lies in a distorted octahedral environment.Lattice water molecules are also hydrogen bonded to coordinated water molecules forming strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds,which further assemble the complex into a two-dimensional(2D) superamolecular structure.
