Nonpublic ownership forestry is the important ingredient of Chinese forestry. How to develop nonpublic ownership forestry is a trailblazing research, and it is also a multiple social systems engineering. This paper insist on that there are a series of fundamental principles must be followed during the development of nonpublic ownership forestry, it include the principle of sustainable development, the principles of democracy and legality, the principles of public participation, and so on. The author directs more attention to enunciate all these principles＇ denotative and its specific request in the end.
