The discovery and structure of in this paper. The main synthetic procedures to inorganic fullerene-like WS2 nanoparticals and nanotubes are described obtain inorganic fullerene-like nanoparticles and nanotubes, including CVD, direct heating, template method, chemical vapor transportation, the formation mechanism of wrapping, friction properties and potential applications in AFM tip are discussed particularly. It is indicated that the research and development of IF-WS2 nanoparticals and nanotubes are very significant and important for the current scientific and applicable research.
