This research has explored various social learning variables on speeding frequency based on Akerssocial learning theory with a sample survey of 288 drivers in Beijing. The result shows that Akers'social learning theory can explain speeding behavior well. In particular, the driver~ attitude on speeding significantly affects his speeding be- havior; the attitudes of community, family and friends on speeding significantly influence a driver's speeding behavior; the more speeding behaviors occur about, the more he will speed. Finally, the positive effect a driver expected on speeding, as one of the different strengthening variables, will significantly increase the frequency of speeding.
