This paper mainly introduces the basic situation of the College of Library and Information Science at Makerere University, including the college profile, educational plan, training plan and module curriculum. Through the study of the Library and Information Education of Makerere University, the paper summarizes the inspiration for the development of library and information education in China. The inspiration as follows： strengthening the integration of disciplines, training inter-disciplinary talents; regularly revised training programs, timely updating the site information; providing reasonable and personalized curriculum; changing the traditional concept of training to information professionals as training objectives.
