Graphic user interface（GUI） is currently the mainstream of the human-computer interface.through effectively using the interface metaphors — concept metaphor,symbol metaphor and action metaphor,the familiar things of the real world can be mapped into the digital world of computer,so that the complicated,unfamiliar and conceptual things of the digital world should be become simple,familiar and concrete.GUI metaphor is come from the cognitive mechanism of human mental model;it can improve ergonomical effectiveness of human-computer interaction,and making the GUI beautiful and emotional.Based on the coupling model of the construction and interpretation of GUI metaphor,its weaknesses and limitations are deeply discussed.
