针对图像中车牌区域含有的丰富边缘,首先进行边缘检测,接着运用形态学方法进行图像平滑,然后通过二值面积形态学方法确定候选区域,最后结合车牌的颜色特征确定最终的车牌图像区域.仿真实验结果表明,该算法定位精度高,鲁棒性好,具有较大的实用价值.
License plate region contains rich edge information,so the image edges are extracted out,and then the image can be smoothed with morphological method,after that candidate regions are ascertained by Binary-Area-Morphology,and the region of real plate is filtrated finally by color features of plate.Simulation results show that such method is not only accurate and robust,but also practical.
