The molecular weight （ Mw ） of the polycarboxylate comb-like copolymers was determined by means of the static light scattering. To determine the real Mw, enough NaCl was added to eliminate the slow mode caused by the polyelectrolyte effect, and the PCE solution was further filtered to remove the PCE aggregates. Furthermore, the solution behavior of PCE was investigated by the laser light scattering, showing flexible chain morphology in solvents.
