A new method for structure top modification static reanalysis is developed. The proposed procedure adds all the new DOFs to the original structure step by step. In each step, the transitional matrix is built to obtain the perturbation basis, and Pads approximation is gotten by orthogonalization of the perturbation basis. The result of each step will be the initial solution for the next step. When the iteration process ends, the approximate solution for the modified structure is reached. The numerical example illustrates that the method proposed is effective for the static displacement reanalysis.
