Early supplier involvement（ESI） in new product development（NPD） can benefit both sides of cooperation.Most of existing researches focus their efforts on why manufacturers should invite suppliers in their NPD from manufacturer＇s viewpoint,but few of them focus on why suppliers are willing to be involved in manufacturers＇ NPD from suppliers＇ viewpoint.The key factors of ESI in NPD from suppliers＇ viewpoint are identified in the paper and the effect is validated through empirical study.
