糖生物学被认为是生物化学领域"最后的前沿"。糖-蛋白质相互作用是信号传导、细胞黏附、病菌感染、受精、增殖、分化和免疫应答等很多细胞识别过程的基础,在生命科学中意义重大。本文综述了糖-凝集素特异性结合、细胞/细菌相关的糖-蛋白质相互作用、基因表达的相关调节和基于凝集素媒介的药物导向治疗,以及糖-蛋白质相互作用研究的电化学、压电传感、光谱学、纳米技术、微阵列技术和生物传感器等方法和器件与相关的生物医学应用进展。
Glycobiology has been recognized as "the last frontier" in biochemistry. Carbohydrate-protein interactions are the fundamentals of many cellular processes, such as signal transduction, cell adhesion, viral/bacterial infection, fertilization, proliferation, differentiation and immune response, which are of great significance in life sciences. In this review we briefly summarize the recent progress of carbohydrate-lectin interactions, cell-/bacteria-related carbohydrate-protein interactions, relevant modulation of gene expressions and lectin-mediated targeted drug therapy, as well as methodological studies of electrochemistry, biosensors on carbohydrate-protein interactions for piezoelectric sensing, spectroscopy, nanotechnology, microarray and relevant biomedical applications.
