Bacteriostasis tests for supernate were done for selecting carp Enterococcus faecalis YL - 1 in order to prove probiotics benefit. The result showed that YL - 1 had strongly bacteriostasis to pathogenic Aeromonas hydrophila ; through heat treatment, protease treatment and neutralization acid to supernate bacteriostasis material, the result showed that its bacteriostasis material, a kind of substance which was sensitive to organic acids and trypsinase played the leading role.
