To meet the shaddock production needs, the key cultivation techniques of early-bearing and high-yield for pomelo orchard in western tropical area of Yunnan province were summarized based on production practices and multi-location experiments lasted for many years, which mainly included selecting orchard with suitable temperature, fertility, scale and landform; managing fertilizer and water according to the age of pemolo tree and fruit yield for orchard soil; rationally cutting and pruning based on age of pemolo tree and situations of tree body; preventing and controlling the main diseases and insect pests in time, such as Citrus huanglongbing, leeding disease, scabe disease, Tetranychus cinnbarinus, Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton, Trialeurodes vaporariorum, etc..
