Rural power management system reform started in 1999 settled some important problems occeured during rural power administration and development. The profound influence has been exerted on rural power. It boosted the overall development of rural electricity. But with the reform and development of rural economy, some issues and contradictions appeared because of rural power management system＇s harmful effects for rural development. It is important and necessary to research the problems of rural power management system reform to the sustainable development of rural economy and rural power in China. The paper analyzed the management styles and the status of rural power management system. It provided suggestion forthe reform of rural power management system.
