Gangou is a township of Minhe Hui and Monguor County in Qinghai Province, where Chinese dialect is in close contact with Monguor language and Amdo Tibetan. Gangou dialect as a Chinese dialect has a series of characteristics of Altai or Tibetan languages in terms of grammar. Among the 16 word order correlation pairs, this study found that 15 of them in Gangou Chinese demonstrate a strong correlation with verb-final languages, such as O--V, predicate-copula, NP-article, NP-adpostion, standard of comparison-adj., final adverbial subordinator, etc. Comparing with nearby languages such as Xi＇ning dialect and Tangwang dialect, Gangou Chinese has a more typical structure similar to that of Monguor language and Amdo Tibetan. In this geographic area it is believed to be the result of language contacts.
