In addition to assumptions or indications of time, ＂yes＂ can also indicate conditional relationships, adversative relationships, and continual relationships. The special characteristics of ＂yes＂ in the Linxia dialect are not only the reflection of the underlying elements in the Altai language but also the outcome of the compromising and merging of the Han and Altai languages.
