The implementation of the ＂excellent teacher＂collaborative training for teacher education in the new period is a new orientation for local normal universities in China. Excellent teachers＇ training is a systems engineering in that there is some internal link between the social capital theory and excellent teachers＇ collaborative training. In consideration of deficiencies of social capital in teacher education of normal universities,efforts should be made to improve the social network communication mechanism for collaborative training,to build its cognitive capital and to constitute its institutionalized communication and trust governance mechanism.
