To safeguard and improve people＇s livelihood with the rule of law is a common practice in mature societies. The development of people＇s livelihood with Chinese characteristics must emphasize the function of the rule of law. The practical character of the cause of people＇s livelihood and its rights property is the logical foundation of promoting rule of law for the undertaking of people＇s livelihood, which is the key of promoting the rule of law in China. Significant progress has been made in promoting rule of law for the undertaking of people＇s livelihood, but the reality of coexisting progress and problems haven＇t been changed. To improve the situation of poor legislation in the undertaking of people＇s livelihood, China needs to take a special path to promote rule of law in the area of people＇s livelihood, strengthen the overall planning and top design for building the legal system of people＇s livelihood, so as to build a systematic and scientific system of rule of law with Chinese characteristics in the area of people＇s livelihood, from the perspectives of legislation, legal service, and implementation.
