Complex { L2 Ni2 (MeO) 2 } Gd2 ( NO3 ) 4( 1 ) has been synthesized by reactions of N, N'-bis ( 2-hydroxy- 3-methoxybenzylidene)-1, 3-propanediamine (H2L) with GdC13·6H2O. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 is unique dinuclear structure. Noticeable, two units [ LNi(MeO) ]Gd are bridged by two NO3- anions.
