In the post- colonial context, Chinese new immigrant individuals' hiding trauma may ascend to a collective trauma, and even create a kind of cultural trauma. The reason behind the Chinese new immigrant trauma memory includes their survival predicament in reality and the cultural conflict of resettling in an alienated cultural space. The declaring and literature writing of this trauma memory is itself a cultural symbol of this kind of trauma memory.
