Based on computing a dimension formula for cusp forms on the n-dimensionalo ball via the Selberg trace formula, the automorphism group on 3-dimensional ball is divided into scalar matrices, elliptic, hyperelliptic, hyperbolic, and parabolic conjugacy classes. The above five types of conjugacy classes are accurately characterized by means of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the elements in the group.
