L-(-)-α-Phenyl ethylamine was reacted with cubane-like dimer of carboxylic 2-naphthoate to afford L-(-)-α-phenyl ethylammonium cubane-like dimer of carboxylic 2-naphthoate with high yield.Crystal structural analysis demonstrates that the hydrogen bonding of N2A—HN2B…O5A and O1A—HN1A…O3A are responsible for the crystal packing,in which N2A—HN2B…O5A connects L-(-)-α-phenyl ethylammonium cation and cubane-like dimer of carboxylic 2-naphthoate.Intermolecular hydrogen bonding of O1A—H1AA…O6A and O1B—H1AB…O6B directs the assembly of two enatiomers of cubane-like dimer of carboxylic 2-naphthoate acid.
