Objective To establish a new vascularized animal-model with bioceramics. Methods Twenty-four adult rabbits were selected for operation. An artery lumbodorsalis was put into central axis of the artificial bone and implanting the artificial bone into every rabbit's left fascia lumbodorsalis for experiment group, and put pure artificial bone into every rabbit's right fascia lumbodorsalis for control group. The samples were take out for section-staining and bone scanning after 4, 8 and 12 weeks. Results In experiment group, there were mature blood vessels, and newly formed bone appeared after 4 weeks and bone trabecula came into mature after 12 weeks. Conclusion Putting an artery into central axis of the artificial bone and implanting the artificial bone into rabbit's fascia lumbodorsalis can notably improve vascularization and bone metabolism of the artificial bone.
