Taking Sichuan Province as a case study, this paper comparatively analyzed the temporal distribution characteristics of inbound and domestic tourist flows using seasonal strength index, seasonal index, and mathematical statistical methods. The annual variations features and the monthly variations features were mainly researched. In addition, based on the major tourist attractions＇ analysis of seasonal strength index, the reasons of time distribution features were explored from three aspects named tourism body, tourism media, and tourism objects. The natural conditions and attraction types and popularities of tourism resources had the influences on the time distribution features of Sichuan Provincials tourist flow, which were studied in detail.
