Identity is featured by construction, and entrepreneurs advance the smooth development of entrepreneurial activities by active identity construction and management. Based on a systematic re- view of relevant literature, this paper elaborates the concept and classification of entrepreneur identity and analyzes the individual and situational factors influencing the construction of entrepreneur identity. Then it explores the realization path to legitimate distinctiveness in the construction of entrepreneur identity. Lastly, it proposes an integrated research model of the construction of entrepreneur i- dentity and points out future directions in entrepreneur identity and construction research.
