After an overall analysis of formation, characteristics and developing pattern of BRT system, this paper lays emphasis on analyzing some pivotal technologies in BRT, including special road design, platform frame and layout, bus priority at intersection, and intelligent control ＆ manage technologies. The result shows that BRT system, which combines the merits of both Rapid Rail Transit and Normal Bus Transit, will have a good application prospect.
