The properties of polaron in quantum dots were investigated, The vibration frequency and the mean number of phonons of polaron in quantum dots were calculated by using Tokuda's improved linear combination operator and Lagrange multiplier and variational method. Influence of the velocity of the polaron on the mean number of optical phonons were discussed for strong-coupling and weak-coupling, The results show that the mean number of phonons increases with the velocity of the polaron increasing.
