The paper analyzes and compares the current situation of domestic and foreign university libraries’ service for the society,and through the investigation and research on the groups in surrounding areas of Zilang Vocational and Technical College,finds that there is a tremendous potential market for the library to expand its services to the community,and there also is resistance,and puts forward some measures for promoting the library of private university to serve the groups in surrounding areas.
