本文以提高荫罩式等离子体显示器(SM-PDP)的发光效率为目标,以7”小屏为实验平台,采用实验测试的方法研究了提高Xe浓度对着火电压、静态margin、单脉冲亮度和发光效率的影响。结果表明,Xe浓度的提高虽然增加了着火电压,但同时也加大了静态margin、提高了单脉冲亮度以及发光效率,因此不失为改进SM—PDP的发光效率和性能的良好途径。
A novel technique was developed to improve the luminous efficacy of shadow mask plasma display panel (SM-PDP). The original work in the newly-developed technique is an increase of the xenon content in the gas mixture. The influence of high Xe content on the characteristics, such as the firing voltage, static margin, luminance per single pulse and luminous efficacy, was experimentally studied in our prototyped, lab-built 7" PDP setup. The results show that an increase of Xe content is a feasible way to improve both the luminous efficacy and the characteristics of(SM-PDP). For instance, an increase in Xe content simultaneously enlarges the static margin, improves the luminance per single pulse, and betters the luminous efficacy, in spite of the increased firing voltage.
